Welcome Home
Located in Baileys Brook, Nova Scotia, the Eco Awareness Society is a community-based voice promoting awareness and understanding of ecological and energy principles through scientific evidence.
The Society formed in response to the largest industrial wind power plant being proposed for Nova Scotia. We have since grown to over sixty members and now work together with other groups in Nova Scotia and across Canada that are facing the same situation.
When you are surrounded with so much natural beauty and history as we are in Nova Scotia, it’s hard not to care deeply about it. We are dedicated to protecting the unique nature and culture of Nova Scotia and preserving it for future generations.
It is our hope that reason and scientific evidence will prevail and that legitimate solutions, which will make a lasting difference to our urgent climate change and energy issues, will be implemented by the government of Nova Scotia.
